Paul Michael Hinchliffe Hope Tribute Fund

Paul lost his 5 year battle against malignant melanoma on 16th June 2006. He was diagnosed with this cancer whilst studying for his ‘A’ levels. Paul had a very determined character, the hospital visits and treatment were not going to interfere with his life - the fight was on!! He gained excellent grades in his ‘A’ levels and was accepted at Nottingham University to study Law. Although the balancing act between studying and coming home to Preston for treatment began to take its toll so he transferred to the University of Central Lancashire for the final year of his degree. Although the cancer was taking its toll, he fortunately did not have long spells in hospital and he managed throughout his battle against the cancer to have a fun filled life and live at home with his family. He graduated from UCLAN with a degree in law but never made the graduation ceremony. His sister, Cathy, was so very proud to be able to receive this on his behalf. The mention of Paul’s antics always brings a big smile to our faces. His memory lives on in all our hearts and he will always play a significant part in our family. We love you Paul. xxx
